Beautiful place, bit of a steep walk down from the carpark, but once there great views & wasn't busy.
Carpark isn't free for blue badge holders !, machine charged me for 2 days £6 !.
Fantastic hidden gem of a beach also dog friendly, water is so clear and you can go quite a way out up to your waist, it has a car park that costs £5 a day if you have no coins you have to spend £5 at the machine so maybe take some change.
There's toilets and a cafe there to friendly staff the beach by the cafe is not dog friendly so make sure you use the right one.
What a beautiful beach. Nice and quiet and the kids loved it. Will go back there again. But if u go get the bus there. Not a lot of parking.
Beautiful area with lovely coastal walks and ample parking which is priced very reasonable compared to some in the surrounding area (£2 all day during the winter months) There is also a nice little cafe and two lots of public toilets one of the toilets is situated next to the cafe and the other is further down. There are two main routes down to the sandy beaches which are nice small little coves and if you don’t fancy sitting on the beach there is a picturesque coastal walk that continues for miles along the coast. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
Delightful walk and scenery. Easy parking and access. Quiet a walk to the beach via steps, which would be difficult for wheelchairs.
Beautiful little beach. Car park at the top is very small and there is a walk up and down to it, but it's worth it. Many families having bbq's and dogs were with their families. Lovely atmosphere.
So , I took south west Path from mount batten ferry terminal all the way to Bovisand beach . It took me around 1 hour but the views were amazing !. It was not easy because there was a lots of climbing and descending but it was worth it . Some parts of this South West Coast Path are incredible and I have never seen roads like that . The beach itself is very nice comparing to other beaches on the way, full of black rocks and nothing else . So it is journey worth taking .
Lovely quiet beach setting & coastal walk from Turnchapel & Jenny Cliff (medium+ difficulty walk with lots of steps each way!) Bus service also to this beach every hour & caravan site & chalets available to rent. Beach was clean and quiet. Suggest to take food & refreshments with you for the day.
